BMW enthusiasts in South Africa who are interested in acquiring
BMW’s limited edition M3 and M5 will have to pay a visit to the UK. Only 30 of
these mean machines are being made a will be selling like hot-cakes on Pommie
Island. BMW’s M division has produced an all new frozen paintjob and the models
come with tweaked engines and a long list of extras which could see you paying
in excess of R975 500, but only if you lucky enough to get your hands on
one.
BMW M3 M Performance
Limited Edition
The BMW M3 M Performance Edition has a 313kW V8 engine under the
hood that’s mated to a seven-speed M DCT transmission with variable M
differential. A Competition Package is standard with this model and lowers the
suspension by 10mm with Electronic Damper Control with sport mode and a new
DSC+ system. The M3 M Performance also features 19” ‘M’ black alloys a chromed
exhaust, side gills, kidney surrounds, black air intakes and front splitters
made of carbon-fibre.
On the inside, all M3 M Performance Editions sport black
leather seats with either red, white or blue stitching. The front seats are
also heated and feature a sliding armrest. A 13 speaker digital Harmon/Kardon
sound system offers audio entertainment. Other extras include adaptive
headlights, park assist, leather steering wheel, designer floor mats and M
stitching on the front headrests. A BMW M Performance Edition logo can be seen
on the door sill.
BMW M5 M Performance
Limited Edition
The BMW M5 M Performance makes use of a 417kW TwinPower
Turbo V8 riding on 20” ‘M’ black alloys and includes a chromed exhaust, side
gills and kidney surrounds. Other prominent features include M Sport
multi-function seats, powered boot lid, sun protection glass, split-folding
rear seats, comfort access and soft close doors.
The BMW M5 M Performance edition also incorporates a reverse
assist camera and a 12 speaker multimedia system with USB, MP3 and mobile
connectivity. Merino leather seats will keep you comfy while tend to business
on the road.
