Nissan will attempt to set a Guinness World record for the quickest 1-mile (1.6km) run in reverse in a Nissan Leaf Electric Vehicle at this weekend’s Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The attempt will be made possible due to the fact that the
Nissan Leaf’s direct drive will allow it to reverse as fast as it’s able to
move forward. The challenge will be made harder because it will be attempted on
the Goodwood hillclimb that features many turns and obstacles.
The mad man behind the wheel is professional stunt driver
Terry Grant, the same guy who drove a Nissan Juke on two wheels up the
hillclimb last year. Well, good luck to him.
