Volkswagen has pushed the boundaries for its MPV Caravelle
to create the Caravelle Business offering a luxurious mobile office for those
of us who need to work on the move. The Caravelle Business is available in
Europe and is not available in South Africa, even though it shares the same
132kW 2.0-litre bi-turbo TDI engine mated with a seven-speed-DSG transmission.
However, some features including the pop-up table, electric sliding doors and
xenon lights can be ordered for the South African Caravelle.
The Caravelle Business goes head to head with the
Mercedes-Benz Viano which was unveiled earlier in the year. The interior offers
six seats in total with four individual seats in the rear covered in Nappa
leather and a centre console doubling up as a fridge. The cabin also exhibits
burr wood inserts, satellite navigation, 17cm colour screen, 30GB hard drive,
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. The pop-up table offers ample space to
conduct business in the comfort of the Business Caravelle.
The black exterior with privacy glass gives the VW Caravelle
Business a somewhat secretive appeal and offers classy styling to boot. Share
your thoughts on the VW Caravelle Business…
