Nissan's Leaf Electric Vehicle set the Guinness World Record for the fastest time to complete 1.6km in reverse. Driven by professional stunt driver Terry Grant, the Nissan Leaf completed its run in 1m 37.02 seconds at the Goodwood hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend.
The Nissan Leaf's average speed was 88km/h and was able to set the record thanks to its direct drive which allows it to travel in reverse at the same speed as going forward. In 2011, Grant set the world record for driving a Nissan Juke up the Goodwood hillclimb on two wheels.
