Fiat has launched a wide range of updated vehicles in its
Professional range that aims to service small and large businesses. One of the
new offerings in the Professional range is the Doblo Cargo that has been
launched with one petrol and two diesel derivatives.
The petrol variant is seen in the 1.4-litre Doblo that
produces 70kW at 6 000rpm with a maximum torque output of 127Nm at
4 500rpm. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a
average combined-cycle fuel consumption of 7.2-litres/100km and a CO2 emissions
rating of 169g/km.
The 1.3 Multijet diesel variant offers 66kW at 4 000rpm
with a maximum torque figure of 200Nm at 1 750rpm. This engine is mated to
a five-speed manual transmission and like the 1.4 petrol version, is available
in short wheelbase guise. The 1.3 Multijet exhibits a combined-cycle fuel
consumption figure of 5.2-litres/100km with a CO2 emissions rating of 136g/km.
The long wheelbase 1.6 Multijet’s power rating is increased
to 77kW at 4 000rpm with a maximum torque figure of 290Nm available from
1 500rpm. This model makes use of a six-speed manual transmission and
displays a frugal fuel consumption figure of 5.4-litres/100km and a CO2
emissions figure of 142g/km.
The short wheelbase models can accommodate a standard 750kg
load which can be upgraded to 1000kg. For the long wheelbase 1.6 Multijet, the
standard load is 1000kg.
The cargo area is equipped with a sliding side-doors as well
as large rear doors for easy access to the cargo cabin. The interior includes a
larger and more functional roof shelf. Numerous storage spaces can be found
throughout the driver’s cabin and the glove box is big enough to store a 14”
