Motorists will once again experience the wrath of rising
fuel prices in South Africa when the price of all petrol increases by 22c per
litre on Wednesday 1 August 2012.
The price of 0.05% sulphur diesel will rise by 14.62
cents/litre while 0.005% sulphur diesel will see an increase of 15.62
cents/litre. During the period under review, the average international prices
of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin increased.
Petrol 95 ULP octane will cost R11.04 per litre in Gauteng
while the coastal price will be R10.69 per litre. The single maximum price for
illuminating paraffin will cost R9.91 per litre with an increase of 20 cents
per litre.
