These are sketches of the new Kia Cerato compact sedan that is set to go into production and will be available in Korea come end of the year. The new Cerato will be made available worldwide in 2013.
Kia reckons the new Cerato is longer, wider and lower, offering a more spacious cabin and as the sketches reveal, the Cerato features a radically dynamic and futuristic design package. What's even better is that Kia plans on producing a five door-hatchback and a two-door coupe version too. The Cerato was Kia's best-selling model in 2011 with 445 000 units sold so it only makes sense to build on its success with a fresh design approach. However, not much information has been revealed regarding what engine will make its home in the Cerato's bonnet, but I guess all will be revealed in good time.
