Suzuki Jimny gets Funky Facelift

The Suzuki Jimny 4X4 has received its mid-life botox treatment making it look prettier and more refined than before. The changes have been more cosmetic in nature with a few interior upgrades too.

The Jimny has received a new bonnet with an air scoop and a power bulge to make it look like a mean machine. The grille has been revised too and is now more square-like. The foglights have also been repositioned accordingly. The engine remains with Suzuki’s 1.3-litre transverse four cylinder engine mated to a five speed manual gearbox.

Interior upgrades include new head restraints as well as more appealing cloth trim and ISOFIX child seat mounting points. The Jimny is now also available in a new metallic blue colour option. Standard equipment includes air-conditioning, remote central locking, electric windows and mirrors, power steering and a radio/CD player.

The Suzuki Jimny has also received a minor price hike from R192 900 to R198 900 as a result of the changes and includes a 3-year/100 000km warranty as well as a 4-year/60 000km service plan.
