The VW Polo WRC Street Special Edition is on show at the 31st
GTI Meeting at Wörthersee, Austria. This little racing bullet is the street-legal version of the Polo R-WRC that Volkswagen will unleash in the 2013 World
Rally Championship.
The VW Polo WRC Street Special Edition comes complete with
rear spoiler, sports suspension, diffuser and R-WRC design to make it look the
part. However, it’s underneath the bonnet where it counts and the VW Polo WRC
Street Special Edition is not short of fire power. A 162kW, 2.0 litre TSI
engine dons the engine room and there is no doubt that this car is going to pose
a serious threat in the dirt. For road goers, the VW Polo WRC Street Special
Edition is a bit of a taste of what can be expected when Volkswagen release a
limited edition model in 2013. It might be a good idea to start saving some
money for this one…
