Ford will enter the mini bus and large panel van segment in
South Africa with the all-new Transit Custom and Tourneo Custom which will be
made available in the first quarter of 2013.
Both models feature bold exterior design features and luxury
driver-orientated cockpits and will be available as both short and long
wheelbase versions. The Tourneo Custom offers seating for 8 passengers along
with a highly versatile seating configuration with up to 30 different
arrangements depending how you choose to stow and fold the seats.
Ford’s 2.2-litre Duratorq TDCi diesel engine will be used
for both models. The transit Custom and Tourneo Custom will be built at the
Ford Otosan Plant in Kocaeli, Turkey. Keep your eyes peeled for more details
closer to launch.
