Porsche are in the process of producing a great supercar
known as the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid. The Porsche 918 Spyder will go into
production in September 2013 and customers will have it on their doorstep in
the same year.
Combining its 4.6 litre V8 petrol engine with two
independent electric motors, the Porsche 918 Spyder will deliver the very best
in high performance driving while maintaining excellent fuel consumption in the
region of 3 litres /100 km while still pushing out at least 575kW of power.
The Porsche 918 Spyder hybrid is made from carbon-fibre reinforced
plastic (CFRP) with fully adaptive rear-axle steering and an upward venting
exhaust. This is certainly a glimpse into the future of supercars and it will
be interesting to see how this car will be received next year. What do you
think of the Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid?
