What looks like a Lamborghini is actually the Polish
supercar company Arrinera’s so called Hussarya,
a supercar that will be fitted with a GM 6.2-litre V8 that thumps out a
whopping 478kW with a maximum torque figure of 820Nm.
The engine is the familiar LS9 used in the Corvette ZR-1.
British engineer, Lee Noble has helped design and optimise the multilink
suspension and the high tensile-strength tubular steel chassis while the shape
is a result of 14 months of research at the Warsaw University of Technology.
The Hussarya will make use of self-adjusting twin rear
spoilers that rise as speed increases but also flip up when the brakes are
applied, much like air brakes used on military jet aircraft. The Hussarya is expected
to reach a top speed in upwards of 340km/h while it should only take three
seconds to reach 100km/h providing that its weight is kept to a maximum of
1300kg.
Only 33 examples are expected to be built initially for late
2013 before full scale production commences. Each Hussarya will cost in the
region R1.3 million.
