The new Cayenne GTS has been somewhat modified from its
siblings the Cayenne S and the Cayenne Turbo, with a lower, stiffer chassis and
a more powerful engine. Based on the Cayenne S engine, the Cayenne GTS will be
powered by a 4.8 litre V8 punching out 309kW transferred through an eight-speed
Tiptronic S gearbox. According to Porsche, the drive train has been tuned to
deliver “sporting levels of responsiveness”.

New Porsche Cayenne GTS coming
Tweet
There’s a new Porsche lurking in the mist and it looks
pretty. The new 2012 Porsche Cayenne GTS will make its first appearance at the
Beijing Auto Show on April 23, adding to Porsche’s fine reputation in the SUV
class.
The Porsche Cayenne GTS reaches 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds and
clocks a top speed of 260km/h. Fuel consumption is estimated at 10.7 l / 100km.
The sporty looking front-end styling of the Cayenne GTS was inspired by the
Cayenne Turbo and the GTS sits 24mm closer to the earth when compared to the
Cayenne S.
If this Porsche arrives in South Africa, consumers can
expect to pay in the region of R825 000 to drive this beauty down the
isle.
Do you like the new Cayenne GTS?
