Renault Twingo RS coming to SA

The all new Renault Twingo RS is expected to be available to the South African public in the third quarter of 2012. Renault fans can expect to get quite a kick from this cute mini racer.

Inspired by Renault’s association with F1 racing, the Twingo features a four light arrangement along with black detailing on the rear spoiler and rear bumper with a diffuser and aerodynamic extensions over the rear wheel arch, giving the Twingo RS that sporty race look.

The interior is sporty too with yellow stitching on the steering wheel and seats, white detailing for the rev-counter border, steering wheel and air conditioning controls.

The Renault Twingo RS also comes with cruise control, speed limiter, Bluetooth, 16” alloy rims and a Renault Sport exhaust system with chrome tail pipes. If that’s not enough, you may opt for the Cup chassis with a design exterior package, larger wheels and a Renault Sport telemetry system, for people who want to experience more of a racing vibe.

The Twingo RS comes fitted with a 1.6 litre engine that puts out 98 kW at 6750 rpm and 160 Nm of torque at 4400 rpm and is backed up by powerful front and rear disc brakes.
The Twingo’s top speed is 201 km/h with a CO2 emission of only 150g/km. Fuel consumption is low too sitting at 6.5 litres / 100 km.

Do you like the Renault Twingo RS?
