Land Rover Defender gets Fancy Upgrades




For those of you who are keen to whack the bush in style might be interested to know that the iconic Land Rover Defender is now available with a range of upgrades.

Two new body colours are available, namely Barolo Black and Havana, as well as four new contrasting roof colours in addition to the standard Fuji white. These colours include Santorini Black, Indus Silver, Orkney Grey and Firenze Red. Comfort has also been kicked up a not with new premium part leather seats available for the driver and passenger seats and comes with the Land Rover logo on the headrest. The new seats offer more comfort and driving support while out in the bush. An upgraded Alpine sound system also features in the Defender.

Underpinned by the powerful 2.2-litre diesel engine and its go anywhere capability, the iconic Defender retains the rugged appeal that it’s always been famous for but now with even greater customer choice,” says John Edwards, Land Rover Global Brand Director.

The Defender’s 2.2-litre diesel engine produces 90kW at 3 500rpm and has a maximum torque figure of 360Nm at 2000rpm. CO2 emissions are rated at 266g/km for the Defender 90 and 295g/km for the Defender 110 and 130. The 2.2-litre diesel engine is mated to a GFT MT 82 6-speed gearbox.
